ART LICKS WEEKEND RADIO

PROGRAMME CALL OUT
CLOSING 13th AUGUST

The Art Licks Weekend 2019 takes on the theme of Interdependence: considering how participating projects work within a network of friendship, reciprocity and shared dialogue. Interdependence is about collectivism; positively depending on, and trusting one another as forms of production and art making.

A key part of the festival’s programming this year will be an Art Licks Weekend radio station, run in partnership with TACO!  and RTM.FM . Commissioned artworks will be broadcast daily (17-20 October) on RTM, alongside scheduled content from arts practitioners nationwide. The radio will act as a forum for further conversation around the festival’s theme of Interdependence and the questions it prompts - what is most important when working together? What is it to care and what investment does that require? What structures need developing for sustainable outcomes?

We are looking for proposals from across the UK for pre-recorded radio content that responds to the Art Licks Weekend’s theme of Interdependence.  From interviews, group discussions, readings, playlists, artworks made for broadcast … we are looking for varied, explorative, experimental, and diverse broadcast proposals that can be from 15 minutes to 60 minutes in length.

Please send a proposal of no more than 500 words, detailing:
  • A little about you
  • Your idea
  • The length of your content
  • How it would be recorded and shared with us

Send your proposal to us for the deadline of Tuesday 13th August, 5pm, by emailing: info@RTM.FM with the subject of ‘ALW Radio Proposal’.
