Please join us for the offical opening of the TACO! PRINT STUDIO. The day is free to attend with an opportunity to experiment and play with colour risograph printing, take away a print, and become a member of the studio. The event is open to all, including people new to riso print, or people with riso print experience.
The Studio provides facilities for creative production and research and runs a programme of Riso-based workshops. It includes a kitchen, wifi, and a soft seating area.
Riso is unique form of printing that has similarities with both photocopying and screen printing. It uses a machine called a Risograph to make beautiful, layered images and graphics, using digital files and images.
The Studio includes a 2-drum Risograph machine with a selection of colours, paper to purchase, cutting, folding and binding facilities.
Below is a Studio Guide for how to access and use the studio. Please read the guide before booking a print session.

HOW TO ACCESS THE STUDIO
The TACO! PRINT STUDIO is available to use by booking a Studio Print session.
Open Access to the Studio is scheduled for every Friday. You can check which Friday slots are available and book via the Studio Calendar.
Each Open Access session can accommodate up to 3 users from 10am-6pm.
We limit studio numbers to ensure all users can make the most of the studio and its resources.
Open Access print time will depend on other users and the time that you arrive, but each user is guaranteed a minimum print slot of 2.5 hours.
Every person booking an Open Access session can make use of the space and facilities for the remainder of the day to realise their project, prepare artwork files, test prints and paper. You pay for the paper, ink and materials you use.
Open Access sessions are priced per person. However, duos working on the same project/artwork are welcome under one booking. If you are more than two people, please get in touch before booking.
Open Access sessions are supervised by an experienced Studio Keyholder, who is responsible for inducting you to the space and is on hand for technical support.

We ask that all studio users sign a Studio User Agreement.
If you have no prior Risograph experience, we offer a monthly Introduction to Riso Workshop (see below).
*You must have completed an introduction to Riso workshop OR have experience of Riso printing before booking an open access studio session.*
If you want to know more about the studio, book a session, or are a community group who wants to access the Studio for your project please contact us at riso@taco.org.uk

If you are new to Riso printing, we offer a range of workshops led by experienced artists.
We run a regular Introduction to Riso Workshop every last Saturday of the month.

The Workshop costs £40 per person and takes place monthly. Book your place on the workshop here.
