HOW TO ACCESS THE STUDIO
The TACO! Print Studio is located at:
30 Poplar Place
Thamesmead
SE28 8BB
The TACO! Print Studio is available to use by booking an Open Access Print session. We host Open Access around 3-4 times per month, and you can all check upcoming slots on the Studio Calendar.
OPEN ACCESS
- Open Access Standard - £40
* We offer a concession rate with a 30% discount for students, unemployed and unwaged people.
Open Access sessions can accommodate 3 print slots from 10am-6pm. We limit studio numbers to ensure all users can make the most of the studio and its resources.
Users are guaranteed a 2.5h risograph print slot, and can also make use of the rest of the space and facilities before and after their print slot to realise their project, prepare artwork files, or test prints and paper. You may be able to use the risograph for longer depending on other users that day.
Payment is to be made by card at the end of the session. You pay for the paper, ink and materials you use (* see Paper, Ink & Masters costs).
Open Access sessions are supervised by an experienced studio Keyholder, who is responsible for giving you a short induction to our space and our risograph, and is on hand for technical support. Open Access sessions are largely self-directed. If you have no prior Risograph experience and would like to learn the essentials, we offer a monthly Introduction to Riso Workshop.
Sessions are priced per person. However, duos working on the same project/artwork are welcome under one booking. If you are more than two people, please get in touch before booking.
INDUCTIONS AND FIRST TIME USERS
We ask that all studio users sign a Studio User Agreement. During your first visit to the Studio, you will be required to undertake a short Studio Induction. The induction is focused on how to navigate the studio and provides a brief introduction to our specific Risograph machine and how to use it safely.
If you have no prior Risograph experience and would like to learn the essentials, we offer a monthly Introduction to Riso Workshop.

INTRODUCTION TO RISOGRAPH WORKSHOPS
If you are new to Risograph printing, we offer a range of workshops led by experienced artists.
We run regular Introduction to Riso Workshops every month. These are 2.5 hour group workshops where you can learn how to creatively use the risograph. The workshop is open to both people with no prior experience of risograph and people seeking a refresher. We will begin by exploring how a risograph printer works, and look at artworks and publications made using the machine. We will then develop our own two-layered designs using a mixture of drawing and collage. Each participant will design and print their artwork, and take home create 10x two-colour A3 or A4 prints.
The workshop costs £40 per person, and you can book your place here.
