Join artists and gardeners Anna Hughes and Ellie Pritchard for the first in a series of seasonal workshops focused on capturing the colour of Thamesmead through foraging local plants.

The workshop offers a sensory and intimate engagement with place and our releationship to it through a colour foraging walk around Thamesmead.  The walk focuses on gathering a selection of seasonal plants that can be used to make inks and paints, and colour derived from the specificity of place.

Workshop participants can collect plant material during the walk then head to the TACO! print space to start experimenting.  You will learn techniques for extracting colour from plants with an opportunity for painting and drawing with the inks at the end of the session.

Participants leave with their own bottle of natural ink (30ml) made during the session.
