Join artist Chloe Langlois to help create a special group performance inspired by an ancient magical story about a god who laughed the world into existence.
Together we'll play games, try laughter yoga, experiment with movement, music, singing, shouting and sound, and discover what we might laugh into being. We'll explore the magical text together, creating our own interpretations before stepping into character with decorated masks and sunglasses to perform as a group.
We'll rehearse together on Wednesday 19th August, experimenting with ideas and building the performance together.
Then come back on Saturday 22nd August, 11-12pm, for the Pop Pop Hiss Hiss Ha Ha! performance as part of Chloe's 24-hour live artwork.
Free for 5-12 year olds and their siblings, parents and carers. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be provided.
This session will take place at Taco! Cygnet Square, SE2 9FA.

The Hundred Club is an experimental creative space that uses arts and play for children to explore social justice issues. Free and open to 5-12 year olds and their siblings, parents and carers. The club was initiated by Ruth Beale and is produced by TACO!

Chloe Langlois completed a BA at Chelsea College of Art, then worked in a betting shop for nearly eight years, moved to Nottingham, and returned to the compulsion of art making working with peers in art, comedy, and the occult. She completed an MA in Contemporary Art Practice: Moving Image at the Royal College of Art. Since she has been trying to contact her Holy Guardian Angel, ‘Hotsnakes’, with mixed results. Looking at the messy and the magical in video and live performance, her interests lie in channeling, re-enactment, non-verbal communication, and collective euphoria.
