︎Job Description and How to Apply︎

TACO! is looking to expand our team of Community Hosts. This position is a casual, freelance, part-time role, that is vital in supporting our programme and artistic community by facilitating access to TACO!, serving refreshments to customers and audiences at the cafe-bar, and fostering exchange and engagement.

The role comprises a range of duties that care for the space and the people using it. This includes serving drinks in the cafe-bar, preparing and serving food, ensuring the space is clean and tidy, engaging with people accessing TACO!, caring for the exhibitions and the bookshop displays, and supporting the delivery of events and the wider programme.

The role will suit someone with knowledge of and interest in contemporary art, who enjoys public-facing roles, has experience in hospitality, and would like an easy, flexible, part-time role in a friendly and nurturing environment.

TACO! is keen to build relationships with people that can support and grow its culture and offer. This role has the potential to grow and develop depending on your area of interests and skills. We are looking for someone interested in TACO! and what it does, is sensitive and responsive to people and space, and wants to make a positive contribution to a small, dedicated team. We are keen to work with people who have their own creative practices that can contribute to discussions that shape TACO! and people’s experience of it.

TACO! recognises that diversity and equality cuts across all of its work, and is a fundamental value underpinning our vision for culture as integral to the fabric of society. We want to have a diversity of voices helping to shape TACO! , and for our activity to speak to our locality. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who live or have connections to SE London and the surrounding area of TACO!. We are actively seeking applications from underrepresented groups and people who face cultural, social, physical or economic barriers in the arts.

Applications closed.
