Hawksmoor on the Airwaves is a creative half-term project for ages 12+, exploring anti-racist activism and safe spaces for young people. Join artist Holly Graham to take part in collage, print-making and audio workshops, develop a collaborative artwork for radio broadcast, and contribute to a public memorial artwork.
This series of creative youth workshops will explore local histories of community-led anti-racist activism, to think about how these events have shaped our communities and how we tell these stories today.
Artist Holly Graham will introduce young people to a community archiving and public art project titled ACTION! and will lead the group in experimenting with creative techniques including collage, print-making, oral history interviewing and sound.
The workshops will lead to the development of a series of audio compositions to be broadcast on RTM.FM, and will contribute to the development of the audio trail artwork that forms part of the ACTION! project.
An information sheet for parents, including FAQ’s can be found here.
Please booking your place on these free workshops by using this form.
Hawksmoor on the Airwaves is funded by the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
KEY DATES
Mon 26th – Thu 29th Oct 2026 / 12-3.30
Please note: Sessions 1 and 4 will take place at Hawksmoor Youth Hub. Sessions 2 and 3 will involve visits to TACO!’s workspaces in Thamesmead, but we will begin and end both sessions at Hawksmoor Youth Hub.
A Manifesto for Hawksmoor - Family Drop-in Workshop / Fri 30th Oct 2026, 2-5pm
In addition to the youth workshops running Monday to Thursday, we’ll also be running an optional drop-in placard-making family workshop for all ages on Friday, as part of Hawksmoor Youth Hub's Autumn Family Fun Day. What values make our shared spaces fun, safe and collaborative? Make a poster placard that tells the world about your youth centre, and find out about a public art project with artist Holly Graham.

Sat 7th Nov 2026, 2-4pm
We invite friends and family to join us for a live broadcast listening party and pop-up exhibition of workshop outcomes at Hawksmoor Youth Hub.
