Exhibition in a Day

We’re taking over TACO! For a Hundred Club exhibition! 

Will you be an artist, and make props and models and artworks, or a curator, deciding where things go? We’ll fill the gallery with Hundred Club prints, newspapers, collages, films, sounds, sculptures and drawings, all about exploring, playing, and the places we live. Bring your ideas to life alongside artist Ruth Beale, Mat Jenner from TACO!, and Walter Stabb & Hadi Bastani from the University of Greenwich. Your exhibition will be open for others to visit during the Creative Playscapes Symposium and will stay on display at TACO! until 25 April.

Creative Playscapes Symposium!

SAT / 18 April / 10:30 - 13:00 & 14:00 - 17:00

Hundred Club families are invited to a day of talks, activities and workshops that explore how we can make cities playful and healthy places to live and grow. The whole day is a child-friendly event, with a family activity running all day alongside the grown-up talks.

10:30-13:00

- building structures with architects Becoming X 

- making games on the floor using tape with Ruth Beale so that adults have to move through the room in fun ways

- Role-playing with architects, families,  artists to explore how you would like to play in Cygnet Square? What changes might we make to the square, what could we put in it?

14:00-16:30

- making giant microphones , props, and signs to show what we think about people's ideas and thoughts! 

- reporting and recording what people say so we can put it in our newspaper WAAAAH!

- making big models of buildings!
