We’re asking - who is totally awesome and needs to be on a poster?
Join us for this drawing workshop celebrating people who we think are trying to make the world a better place! Artist Ruth Beale will be working with us try out some experimental drawing techniques. We’ll be using the library books, our imaginations and each other, to make a collection of inspirational people in our communities, around the world and in history.

The collection will be printed on TACO!’s riso at a later date and we’ll then share this with everyone.Whoop Whoop!

Join Communal Clay CIC for a Clay workshop. We will be collaboratively building a map trail, made up of multiple pieces of clay, similar togiant puzzle. Each clay puzzle piece will form part of a larger map. Everyone will be able to add to their clay piece, adding sculptural features and figures, thinking about the theme of ‘home’. We will be using coloured slips and locally foraged clay to decorate our work. The work will be fired and glazed and brought back to TACO for participants to take home their individual puzzle pieces.

Communal Clay CIC is a ‘not-for-profit’ project which offers low-cost and free workshops to the local community, run by artists Tabitha Weddell and Alice Kasahara. Our aim is to make clay and sculpture more inclusive and accessible to everyone and our approach is sustainably conscious, using found clay and natural ashes glazes.
