TACO! invites applications for two artists to each take up a two-year residency at the TACO! Print Studio.

This is an opportunity for artists with a risograph print and publishing practice to become key members of the studio, lead the wider community of users, artists, and groups who access it, and nurture their own creative practice.

We are looking for artists who can bring their own practice to activate engagement with the TACO! Print Studio’s production resources, share their skills and knowledge with others, and develop their own creative work by making good use of the facilities.

Working closely with TACO!’s programming team and current Artist-in-Residence Chloe Cooper, artists will contribute to the studio's culture by supervising open access sessions, nurturing an accessible environment, and developing and delivering an accompanying programme of workshops and events.

This is a non-paid residency opportunity with no fee or stipend. Artists receive free access to all facilities, print materials and paper at trade price, and curatorial support to develop their creative practice. Artists receive payment for any workshops, projects or events they deliver. 

We are seeking artists with the following attributes:

• Experienced risograph practitioners
• A demonstrable print and/or publishing artistic practice
• A broad range of technical skills, including experience of Photoshop and other forms of digital software
• A vision and enthusiasm for how their practice will engage with the TACO! Print Studio and its resources
• A socially engaged approach to practice, with experience of working with diverse groups of people to foster community and support engagement for groups in print and publishing. 

We want to foster a creative environment where skills and knowledge can be exchanged, and to support Artist Residents’ own creative practices and ambitions.
