waaaah in a day 🖌️MODEL ESTATES🖌️
WAAAH! is a quarterly newspaper produced by the chldren of The Hundred Club, assisted by Ruth Beale and Tommy Brentnall.
Children produce the content, edit & design the layout, working as journalists, interviewers, copyrighters, crossword setters, illustrators, photographers & more.
Since the start of The Hundred club in 2021, artist Ruth Beale has developed WAAAAH! as a way for the club to explore the issues that are important to them through journalism. From 2022 designer Tommy Brentnall collaborated with the club with systems that allow children to have agency in the way they design each issue - creating a giant floor-based WAAAAH! that can then be scanned in & printed in a day!
