E-WALKS

18th November, 3pm 

eWalks is a guided audio walk around Thamesmead led by German artist Karl Heinz Jeron. The walk is transmitted using personal analogue radios via a mobile radio transmitter. Employing fictional narratives and instructions, listeners enter a surreal world overlaid that of the physical environment of Thamesmead.  

eWalks takes its cue from the practice of the dérive, or ‘Drift’ a form of Psychogeography that was first developed by the Situationist International. A ‘Drift; is a form of urban wandering that is led by the psychological or emotional prompts of an environment, rather than that of the pre-determined route.  


Please bring an anlogue, FM /MW radio with you on the day. Walking route starts from TACO!
